Sr. Network Engineer
Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon
The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure in 5 data centers in the US and Europe, and ensuring the infrastructure maintains the customer SLA at all times.
The position will be based in Santa Clara and report to the Senior Director of Technical Operations.
Technical Knowledge and Responsibilities include:
- Experience managing 24x7 multi site (including International) data networks
- Must have deep technical knowledge and experience with F5, CISCO ACE,large complex spanning tree environments and meshed MPLS networks
- Track record in developing and deploying engineering standards across multiple Network Product environment
- Proven record in designing and maintaining 99.999 % SLA networks
- Strong technical ability to troubleshoot and solve highly complex IP networks and hardware problems
- Provides expert technical support and guidance on highly complex design issues to customers
- Must possess a team player spirit
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- CCIE & CISSP certifications desirable
Qualification

Network Engineer Manager
Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon
Manager of Network Engineering is responsible for providing management and technical direction for the network engineering organization for 5 datacenters in the US and Europe. The manager is also responsible for maintaining all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure in all datacenters and ensuring the infrastructure maintains the customer SLA at all times.

MS SQL Database Administrator - Technical Operations Manager:
Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon
The Database Administrator (Technical Operations Manager) interfaces with multiple members of the OpSource and customer teams on a technical and customer service level. The DBA demonstrates an enterprise view and understanding of systems and technologies. The DBA is responsible for database design, installation, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrades of database systems. This includes documenting systems in accordance with company standards. The DBA serves as a point of escalation and review for issues or concerns identified by the customer or the monitoring system on a 24x7 basis.
The DBA will help develop solutions to improve database environments and enhance server reliability and performance. The DBA provides sales support to assist in determining customer needs and projecting requirements based on customer input. The DBA is responsible for designing database solutions to best meet customer needs, as well as making and presenting recommendations to improve existing infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and Implementing database solutions based on customer requests and needs
- Presenting customers with recommendations regarding hardware and software
- Installing database software, maintaining appropriate maintenance levels and tuning
- Evaluating, recommending, installing and configuring database related software to meet customer requirements

Sr. Storage Engineer
Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon
The SAN administrator is responsible for being a senior member of the OpSource storage team and administrator for the OpSource SAN environment and SAN clients. Responsibilities include the planning, configuration, growth and performance of/for the OpSource enterprise storage area network. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible, highly motivated, and energetic and wants to impact an emerging technology.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the usage and capacity of the current storage/backup architecture and developing recommendations for capacity planning and efficiencies
- Providing detailed metrics on SAN performance for management review
- Hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support of the Storage Area Network environment
- Performing basic day-to-day 24/7 system administration tasks, installation of new software releases, system upgrades, installation of patches, and resolution of softwarerelated problems
- Coordinating hardware maintenance and repairs with vendors, participate in system integration testing as required, interface with the architecture organization and assist in the overall modernization of the enterprise as needed
- Participation in analysis of new hardware/software needs and participation in client requirement reviews and meetings pertaining to customer issues

System Engineer / Customer Technical Specialist
Location: USA-CA-Santa Clara; USA-VA-Herndon
OpSource is currently seeking an experienced System Engineer/Administrator to join our technical team supporting complex cross platform customer hosted and SaaS environments. In many cases, we are the operations team for our customers and therefore your technical expertise and proven customer interaction skills are crucial to this position.
As a member of the Service Delivery team you'll need to be comfortable analyzing our customers' systems environments and making pro-active recommendations to ensure that their applications are deployed, run, perform and scale with the highest level of reliability.
You will also be directly responsible for the design, configuration and execution of load and stress tests, collecting scalability and performance data, analyzing test data and the documentation and publication of results. You will work closely with customer teams to troubleshoot issues critical to system functionalities.
You will be a part of a team of demanding, highly motivated individuals and will be expected to both challenge and be challenged.
Responsibilities:
- Leading technical projects from start to finish while working within organizational change management and project management guidelines
- Consulting with customer staff to resolve complex customer issues affecting performance, functionality and/or availability degradation
- Designing and presenting system and application solutions based on your own knowledge of solid operational principles or at our customer's requests
- Working with system monitoring tools such as perfmon, sar, iostat, and vmstat
